REMEDIAL MASSAGE DOCKLANDS
Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain, and injury management.
Our Massage Therapists – Jodie, Jess, Connor & Magda.
Having studied Myotherapy at RMIT University, Jodie regularly uses muscle testing, cupping, dry needling and rock-taping in her treatments, and also practises manual lymphatic drainage, reiki, abdominal massage and esoteric acupuncture.
Jodie enjoys working with her clients to allow their bodies to function at their optimal level. She has worked closely with a range of athletes, including professional gridiron and basketball teams, as well as circus performers.
Being community minded, Jodie has volunteered with Hands on Health to treat remote communities in Udaipur, India and underprivileged residents in Collingwood. Most recently she recently traveled to Thailand to volunteer Myotherapy treatments with a local Long Neck Karen tribe near Chiang Mai.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys practising circus arts and studying anatomy. She is excited to apply her interests to her study of Chiropractic at RMIT from 2017.
Wholistic Massage Therapist
Having spent the last 10 years studying a variety of massage modalities, including Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Zen Shiatsu, and Reflexology, Jessica has a very holistic approach to wellness and how she treats her clients. She has lived and studied in Sydney, South Africa, and Thailand.
She uses a variety of techniques to suit each individual client depending on what they come in for. She is quite strong and likes to use her elbows to really get into the muscle fibres.
Jessica enjoys working with her clients to allow their bodies to function at their optimal level. She has worked ongoing with a range of different clients with different body types, abilities, fitness levels and ages.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading philosophy, cooking, riding her bicycle and anything artsy and creative. She is currently in the middle of her Remedial Diploma at MIMT.
Connor completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage through Chisholm Institute and is currently at La Trobe University completing his studies to become a Physiotherapist.
Connor utilises many tools such as cupping, dry needling, and deep tissue massage, in order to keep his patients feeling their best. His favourite part of his job is providing relief and results to patients who are dealing with pain, and he is always looking for new ways to challenge his understanding and grasp new concepts about the human body.
Outside of the clinic Connor’s passions mix between sports and mental health, and he is regularly looking for the next physical challenge to raise money and awareness for charities centered around suicide prevention and depression.
