Our Massage Therapists – Jodie & Claire

Jodie
Myotherapist
Having studied Myotherapy at RMIT University, Jodie regularly uses muscle testing, cupping, dry needling and rock-taping in her treatments, and also practises manual lymphatic drainage, reiki, abdominal massage and esoteric acupuncture.
Jodie enjoys working with her clients to allow their bodies to function at their optimal level. She has worked closely with a range of athletes, including professional gridiron and basketball teams, as well as circus performers.
Being community minded, Jodie has volunteered with Hands on Health to treat remote communities in Udaipur, India and underprivileged residents in Collingwood. Most recently she recently traveled to Thailand to volunteer Myotherapy treatments with a local Long Neck Karen tribe near Chiang Mai.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys practising circus arts and studying anatomy. She is excited to apply her interests to her study of Chiropractic at RMIT from 2017.

Laura
Remedial Massage
Laura’s treatments are tailored to each client to restore optimal function, while easing and eliminating muscular pains. Having completed her studies at Victoria University, Laura enjoys using a methodical approach to treatment – helping clients to understand the role of each targeted muscle, and prevent further injury. Laura’s passion for massage stems from an 8-year background in spa and beauty therapy. This also allows for a possible Ayurvedic approach. Together, clients can decide which their body responds best to.
Currently a Myotherapy student, Laura wishes to explore the world of manual therapy deeper, to enhance her work further. Her favourite areas to study are functional anatomy and the science behind pain.
