Dr Jess Thatcher
Jessica grew up in Gippsland, Victoria, before moving to Melbourne to study chiropractic. Jessica always had a passion for health, Chiropractics active approach to health is what drew her in. She completed a Bachelor of Health science (Chiropractic) before graduating her Masters in Clinical Chiropractic.
Whilst at university Jessica took up many extra roles including becoming President of the Chiropractic Student Association at RMIT. Jessica also spent a great deal of time into attending chiropractic seminars while still being a student. Jessica was motivated to learning as much as she could to ensure she had the best knowledge to help her patients.
Jessica is developing her knowledge into Neurodevelopment, currently completing a post graduate Diplomat. This extends on her previous studies in paedatric care.
Jessica is also passionate about helping new members of the profession in their transition to practice. She mentors many recent graduates, helping them source answers and support for their many questions. This lead her to coauthor the article “Whats in a Job”. Jessica was also selected by the Australian Chiropractic Association to attend the Health Sector Leadership program, recognising her leadership within the profession.
Jessica is an avid traveller. She has been to 16 countries so far. In 2017 she volunteered in a team for Hands On India. The group spend 2 weeks in small communities in northern India, volunteering their skills and helping over 5000 people. In 2015, Jessica represent Australia as a crew member of the SS Young Endeavour during is World Voyage.
